Old hair.

That girl used to have short hair.
I like the way she would wrap it with scarves.
I like the way it would swirl across her forehead.
But I'm still excited to see it grow.
She still wears that shirt sometimes.

Facts, but no figures.

That girl's mobile phone number is 801-400-9561.
Her activities (word for word) are: knitting, writing, reading, needlework in general, putting iTunes on shuffle and enjoying the day, road trips, preparing taxes, drinking and smoking and pretending to still be sober, cooking, rearranging furniture and hanging things haphazardly on the walls, looking for new patterns to knit with, finding sweet deals, and changing her hairstyle.
That girl goes to Utah Valley University, and is studying journalism.
That girl likes to use paralell language.
Just like me.
That girl likes to fill out surveys about herself.

Possibly the best photo.

This picture was taken by a friend.
A female friend.
In the furniture department of a department store.
That girl is not wearing a bra in this picture.
This is what it would be like to wake up next to That girl.

More pictures.

There are many pictures of That girl with other people in them, but I don't like those pictures.
I like to see her alone.
And so I skip over those pictures, not adding them here.
Perhaps someday I will crop them, making it just her.

Tease.

That girl is teasing me.
She shows me pictures of sheer slips and dresses.
But she isn't wearing them.
That girl loves a bargain.
She bought a lot of clothes for fifty cents while in Cedar City.

Skinny thighs.

That girl didn't want me to see this picture.
She had it set to be private.
But it was fate.
Those thighs, those perfect thighs.

Imperfect face.

That girl's hair is perfect.
Uncontrollable.
Her jaw isn't defined.
She has darkness under her eyes.
Her cheekbones are sloped.
But it all works together perfectly.

Pictures again.

I can't see any pictures in the chipping nail polish here.
Just blobs.
That girl is wearing a ring on her wedding finger.
But I don't think she is married.
That girl doesn't want to get married or have children.
That girl doesn't want to fall in love or grow up.

Perfection.

This is possibly my favorite picture of That girl.
The bare shoulders.
The ladylike pose.
The slightly pigeon-toed feet.
The neck.
The neck.
The slope from calf to ankle.

Change.

That girl changed this dress.
But she won't show me what she changed.
Or she forgot.
I like how the keyhole showcases that beauty mark on her bony spine.
But the black slip needs to go.

Black bra.

That girl finally found a strapless bra that fits her!
I am happy for her.
She took a picture of it in the clover.
She was happy to find a good bra, and wanted to show off.
If she was meaning to be promiscuous, she would have taken a picture of herself wearing it.
She is unintentionally sexual.

Shoes.

This means that somewhere, there is That girl with naked feet.

Age

That girl is so petite, she can wear children's clothing.
She bought this pattern to make sheer dresses for herself.
She likes young looking clothing with high heels.
She likes to date older men.
She likes this because she is so mature for her age.
And yet she likes young clothing.
She is every man's best - the best mix of innocent and experienced.

Finally, a smile!

That girl fidgets and uses her hands to speak.
She likes to wear layers to protect herself.
She bought the pieces to this outfit across the country.
From New York to California.
That girl likes music.
She has a list of many bands and performers that she likes.
Her favorite performer is David Bowie.
Her favorite song is Golden Years.
She likes to dance to this song while getting ready in the morning, brushing her teeth.

Unphotogenic.

That girl doesn't know how to pose in photographs.
This is because no one who knows her loves her enough to take enough photographs of her.
Here, she is facing away from the light source.
Watching America's Next Top Model, I'd assume that she knows to face the light source.
You can see the outline of That girl's too-large strapless bra here.
Because it is hard to find strapless bras in a 32 A.
That girl likes this dress because it has houndstooth on it.
And it is hard to wear houndstooth in the summer.

Press junket

That girl wore this in Cedar City, Utah. To a press junket.
She went with a person who also works at her newspaper.
I'm assuming he took this picture.
They shared a hotel room.
But it had two beds.
That girl crosses her legs very often while standing.
It is a defense mechanism.

4 things total

In this picture, That girl is only wearing four things.
A dress.
Glasses.
A bobby pin.
And panties.
I like the contrast of the sharp pine needles and her soft arms.

Aspirin

That girl tried an aspirin mask earlier this month.
She found out about it on a blog she read.
She said that the aspirin, water, and honey made her skin glow.
She took these pictures with the webcam on her laptop.
She blogged about the mask on her new blog.
She calls it the Thrifting Vignettist.

Collage.

That girl is self conscious about not having people to photograph her.
She makes collages like this, trying to emulate the blog she follows called Fops and Dandies.
She was kindly ridiculed for this picture by the fashion community Chictopia.
She took it in stride, as a joke.
That girl likes to wear skirts as dresses.
She sometimes has trouble with this because strapless bras are hard to find for a 32 A.
That girl was proposed to by a stranger in this outfit.
She wasn't wearing any makeup.
The picture in the background is a knitted piece of her first handspun yarn.

Knitting

That girl likes to knit hats because they are quick and easy.
That girl likes instant gratification.
That girl is not patient.
This hat was knitted with Berroco Ultra Alpaca, which that girl thinks is very nice.
That girl is showing 9 beauty marks in this picture.

Pictures.

That girl likes to let her fingernail polish chip, to see what pictures it will make.
Like clouds or tea leaves.

Showing off.

That girl took this picture to show off her eyebrows.
And her messy hair.
And her collarbones.
But it also shows that beauty mark on her shoulder.
Her angular fingers.
Her large lower lip.
Her blue walls.
It leaves out:
Her great legs and knees.
Her flat tummy.
Her green walls.
Her feet.
Her awkward smile.

Bright sunlight.

That girl had blue hair for a while.
She wasn't very happy with it.
She bought this dress at a thrift store.
She buys most of her clothing at a thrift store.
In the summer, that girl doesn't often wear shoes.
She doesn't often paint her toenails.
She worries about accessorizing.

Purple empty shoes.

That girl bought these shoes very recently.
She hasn't worn them yet.
She has multiple dogs, but hopes to soon only have one.
She moved recently due to family troubles.
This photo was taken at her new home.

That girl is 19 years old.

I haven't posted for far too long, but today is That girl's ninetheenth birthday, and that deserves a picture like this one.
Note how the top of the foot is almost perpindicular to the ground.
Note the skinny heel.
Happy birthday, That girl.

Tattoo.

That gir got a tattoo behind her right ear.
She wrote an article for her newspaper about it.
I think it is beautiful.
A surprise.

Reading and wading her feet.

That girl likes to read before falling asleep or waking up to help her ease into each new state.
This stream is in her grandmother's backyard.
She is reading Alice in Wonderland, but she didn't finish it because a page fell out.
It ruined her morale.
That girl is still hiding her feet, but we get a good glimpse of calf and ankle here.
That girl sometimes shows her bra on accident.

That girl has a family.

That girl doesn't think her mother, who took this photo, is a good photographer.
That girl's hair used to be really short, she wanted it to look like Twiggy's.
That girl found this tunic while cleaning one of the apartments that her father manages - she had to re-seam the waist.
That girl went to a family reunion in Idaho last summer.
But she really went because her grandfather (from the other side of the family) was dying.
Sometimes That girl uses knitting and fashion to alienate people.

That girl's best friend.

That girl has a cat named Winston.
She saved him from the street when he was very young.
That girl also went through a wardrobe slump during the 2008 tax season, which she is glad to be out of.
Winston's birthday is April 13.
That girl's birthday is July 18.
She will turn 19 this year.

When her hair was short and black.

That girl takes pride in her possessions, and likes to have a lot of them.
She used to hang her silk scarves in her window - a subconscious throwback to promiscuous princesses of yore.
Now she hangs them on a linen holder by the door to her backyard.
That girl likes having short hair and glasses, because it allows her to wear "drag queen" eyemakeup.
She doesn't wash this off at night, and is worried about her eyelashes falling out because of it.
But it is worth it for the smudgy look in the morning.

Wednesday, July 2, 2008

That girl is growing her hair out.
She gets excited whenever she realizes she can wear it in a new way.
She wore it like this to go on a blind date last October.
She held the boy's hand, but only because she was so scared by the spooks she wanted to run away.
The dress she is wearing is vintage, and originally smelled like old ladies.
Now it smells like her.

Those coy feet.

That girl knits her own socks.
These were the first pair she knitted, without a pattern at that.
She wears them on chilly days to keep from getting holes in her nylons.
